Young face on city stage
A commerce graduate from Delhi University’s Kamala Nehru College, Marwaha started her journey with theatre in 2007 as a part of the college’s street play society — Lakshya. In the past four years, she has performed more than 3,000 street plays and 20 stage plays, in most of which she played the lead role. Marwaha now heads the street play unit of Delhi-based theatre company Asmita Theatre Group and is also the associate editor of the Asmita Theatre Review. “I never thought I will be a theatre actor, but when college happened I found my true calling. The plays closest to my heart are Ramkali and Ek Mamooli Admi,” she says. Marwaha also conducts theatre workshops in various colleges across DU.
