The demolition drive of the MCD exposes the nexus between the builder mafia and officials. Flat owners who purchase property from builders are at risk of losing it, knowingly or unknowingly. Not only should there be stricter building laws, but the court should punish immediately the corrupt MCD officials and builders who are responsible for all this.
Go ahead, MCD
Politicians are crying foul after the MCD started its demolition drive in Delhi. This is a shame. It was they who encouraged such irregularities. Nor do I have any sympathy for those people whose properties are being demolished. When they bribed the police and MCD officials to allow construction, they were aware of the irregularities. Why blame anyone else now?

Someone has said people want houses and there are no houses. People want shops and there are no shops. This is no justification for grabbing government property or breaking the law. It is like saying people want cars and money and so they should be allowed to steal cars and commit thefts. This is the right time to act tough with the corrupt and the unprincipled.

The way people in Delhi are crying foul over demolition of their illegal structures is annoying. The government should go ahead with its drive and teach these arrogant and selfish neo-rich a nice lesson.
