Perot Systems Corporation announced it has been ranked as one of the "top business process outsourcing (BPO) providers" in the world by the International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP).
The ranking is a sub-list of the Global Outsourcing 100 and was announced September 1 and featured in a special advertising feature in the September 4 edition of FORTUNE magazine. The list is available on the web at http://www.outsourcingprofessional.org/content/23/152/1197/ .
"The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) is pleased to recognize Perot Systems Corporation as one of the world's best BPO outsourcing service providers for 2006," said Michael F Corbett, Executive Director, IAOP. "Being selected to the TOP BPO Providers list is a tremendous achievement that speaks to Perot Systems' position as one of the industry's most valuable partners."
The honour is awarded by the IAOP based on applications received and evaluated by an independent panel of judges. Four key criteria were considered for the 2006 awards, including size and growth, customer experience, depth and breadth of competencies and management capabilities.
"This award underscores Perot Systems' emergence as a major player in the global business process outsourcing industry during the past two years," said Anurag Jain, Perot Systems vice president and head of the company's global business process solutions (BPS) unit. "We're pleased to know we measured up well for this important honour, and that many of the processes and procedures we pioneered have become benchmarks of the industry."
"We believe the ranking validates our unique outlook to BPO, which is to be vertically focused, combining enabling technology and deep industry domain expertise in highly selected vertical processes (rather than horizontal), with a unified global delivery platform and integrated with the rest of our portfolio," Jain said.
Perot Systems' worldwide business process solutions organization provides people, processes, and supporting technologies to healthcare provider, payer and insurance clients through a global network of on - and offshore technology centers.
