Petrol pump allegedly looted in Jammu

A petrol pump was allegedly looted in this winter capital of the state and the burglars decamp with cash worth lakhs.

A petrol pump was allegedly looted in this winter capital of the state and the burglars decamp with cash worth lakhs.


"We have received a complaint from the owner of the petrol pump that a group of burglars late last night struck at the Kashmir Hind filling station at Rehari and thrashed three of the employees and looted the cash," police sources here today said.

They said that the complainant alleged that the burglars decamped with Rs 7 lakh in cash and also damaged the property and the filling machines.

"We have registered a case and started investigations," police said, adding that they are working on different theories to ascertain the facts.

However, two of the injured employees have been admitted in the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu.
