?Pharmacy Council?s credibility restored?

STATE PUBLIC Health and Family Welfare Minister Ajay Vishnoi has claimed that the MP State Pharmacy Council’s reputation, which had been maligned due to several anomalies over the past 10 years, had been restored during the present BJP government’s two-and-a-half year regime.

The Minister said this while inaugurating the council’s website www.mppharmacycouncil.org  here today. The programme was conducted at Pharmacy council’s office located in the Jaiprakash Hospital campus at Bhopal.

Vishnoi said that due to the anomalies in the records the creditability of the council was questionable and identification of the genuine pharmacists were not possible. Further he informed that during the last two and half years the creditability of the council has been restored and all the records had been corrected.

The website has been designed to bring transparency in the system, he mentioned, adding registration of over 8,000 pharmacists had been renewed during the last two and half years. Vishnoi congratulated the council president Basant Gupta and registrar on the occasion.

Gupta said that after a long span of 14 years, attention has been given first time to make the council capable and popular and he assured that website will prove useful to the people.

The council Registrar MK Verma informed that website will contain information regarding pharmacy act, application proforma, list of pharmacists, photo gallery and other subjects related to council.

Katni MLA Dhruv Pratap Singh, BJP leader Giriraj Kishore, officials of the council, members, doctors and prominent citizens were present during the programme.
