PHD CHAMBER of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) under the PHDCCI-KAF Cooperation Project would organise a one-day conference on “Opportunities & Challenges for SMEs in Madhya Pradesh” at Hotel Lakeview Ashok in Bhopal on August 30.
Scheduled to begin at 10.30 am, the objective of the conference would be to create awareness of various schemes for development of small and medium entrepreneurs (SMEs), as launched by the governments of India and Madhya Pradesh and other institutions dealing with the sector.
PHDCCI Resident Director Rajuvendra Kothari said the SMEs have been facing lot of problems related to finances, change of technology, marketing etc so this would be an opportunity for them to interact. In addition, provisions of the recently enacted Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Act would also be discussed.
He further informed that the conference would be a mix of concept presentation, experience sharing and open discussion. Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, Ministry of Small Scale Industries (GoI), Jawahar Sircar, Principal Secretary, Commerce, Industries and Employment, O P Rawat, Commissioner of Industries, Gopal Reddy and NSIC Chairman & Managing Director H P Kumar, senior officials from banks and other financial institutions would take part in the proceedings. The Chamber has fixed Rs 300 as participation fee to attend the conference.
