The Uttar Pradesh education board issued an exam admit card for one Arjun Singh with the photograph of Arjun Tendulkar, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son.

In a rather embarrassing mix up, the Uttar Pradesh education board issued an exam admit card for one Arjun Singh with the photograph of Arjun Tendulkar, former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar’s son. The photograph was attested by the administration of Ankur Inter College Durga Nagar, a private college in Agra.

The card was issued for the state high school board exam that begins from Thursday in which more than 68 lakh students will sit.

Media reports said a committee was being set up by the district inspector of schools to look into the matter.

Rampant cheating during board examinations has been a major issue for state boards for Secondary Education. In UP, more than 95 principals were barred from examination duty this year following complaints of them facilitating cheating. Last year it was found that invigilators were bribed into providing cheat sheets to students, apart from turning a blind eye to other cheating methods.

Images of family and friends climbing walls to pass on answers to examinees in Bihar also shocked the country with the government promising to strengthen invigilation and security during matriculation exams.
