Pictures of Noida murder accused off police website
The Noida police removed pictures of Raj Kumar and Krishna Nepali, accused in the eight-month-old Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, from a section of their website that contained an advisory for residents regarding servant verification.
The Noida police on Saturday removed pictures of Raj Kumar and Krishna Nepali, accused in the eight-month-old Aarushi-Hemraj murder case, from a section of their website that contained an advisory for residents regarding servant verification.
The move came a day after the lawyer of the two protested to senior officers, claiming that the department's action was "a clear case of defamation as the Aarushi-Hemraj murder case was still being probed by the CBI," said Naresh Yadav, lawyer of Raj Kumar.
When asked, Noida's SP AK Tripathi said, "We have outsourced the maintenance work of the website to a freelancer.”
“I am sure this has not been done intentionally as the pictures of the two accused were quite popular and appeared even on other websites."
"The pictures have been replaced and we will enquire into the incident," the SP added.
