PIYUSH SONI and Prateek Agrawal, members of JCI Dynamic Club, Indore junior Jaycee wing have been selected for ninth National Canvas Ball Cricket Championship-2006.

PIYUSH SONI and Prateek Agrawal, members of JCI Dynamic Club, Indore junior Jaycee wing have been selected for ninth National Canvas Ball Cricket Championship-2006.

The championship would be organised at Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir) by Canvas Ball Cricket Federation of India (CBCFI) from May 9 to May 12. JCI Dynamic Indore president Rajesh Sharma and vice-president Dharam Chand Soni and others have congratulated the duo.

U-19 cricket from May 10       
AN UNDER-19 cricket tournament for the  Universal Trophy organised by Khanuja Cricket Club would begin from May 10. All matches would be played on two-day basis. According to Universal Electronics Pvt Ltd Director Gurubachan Singh Saluja they have come forward to sponsor the tournament to promote junior cricket in Indore.  President of Khanuja Club, Sanjay Lunawat said the junior players would take advantage of the tournament and perform well aiming to make a future in cricket.

Interested registered clubs of Indore Divisional Cricket Association may send their entries to Indrajit Singh Hir or Rajesh Walecha. The inaugural match would begin on May 10 at Yeshwant Club grounds said secretary of the club Kanwaljeet Khanuja.

Second seed shocked in badminton
RASHI BAFNA, a 11-year-old girl shocked second seeded, 16-year-old, Prajakta Lapalikar  in the Open Badminton tournament organised by Sartaj Academy played at Narayan Bagh Balvikas Kendra.

In the 13-year age group for girls Rashi Bafna, Devanshi Singh and Shreyanshi Pardeshi won their respective matches. In the 16 years boys event Aman Pardeshi beat Ankit Khaka while in 19 years boys event Gaurav beat Pravesh Lal.
