PM pays tribute to Lokmanya Tilak

PM besides others paid floral tributes to noted freedom fighter Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his 150th birth anniversary.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Sunday paid floral tributes at the portrait of noted freedom fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his 150th birth anniversary in the Central Hall of the Parliament.

Among others who also offered floral tributes included Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, Leader of the Opposition LK Advani, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, Pension and Parliamentary Affairs Suresh Pachouri, Minister of State for Chemicals and Fertilisers BK Handique and Minister in the Prime Minister's Office Prithviraj Chauhan, according to an official release issued in New Delhi.
