Prime Minister Manmohan Singh arrives in Kolkata on Saturday night on a two-day visit to the state during which he is scheduled to inaugurate the Indian Iron and Steel Company's expansion programme at Burnpur and the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI).

An official spokesman said that prime minister's special aircraft would land at 8.30 pm on Saturday from where he would drive straightway to Raj Bhavan.

His Sunday's engagements will start in the morning when he leaves by a helicopter for Burnpur in Burdwan district to inaugurate the IISCO's expansion programme at 10.15 am.

After the 50-minute programme, he will arrive at Barrackpore IAF airbase by helicopter and drive to Baranagar in the northern outskirt of the city to inaugurate the platinum jubilee celebrations of the ISI.

After attending the ISI programme between 12.40 pm and 1.40 pm, he will arrive at the NSC Bose international airport by helicopter.

He will leave for Delhi at 2.30 pm, the spokesman said.
