The city police will investigate the suspicious death of senior IPS officer Manjit Singh Ahlwat. A police team visited the deceased's Sector 15 house immediately after the incident.

They checked the entry-exit details of Freedom Park Life condominium, which is maintained by a private security agency. The police team is led by DCP (east) Maheshwar Dayal and Sadar police station SHO Inderjit Singh.

“The police officers also spoke with neighbours and checked all visitors' records,” said a security guard who doesn't want to be named. Nearby residents were also approached by the police to find out whether any suspicious person had entered the compound recently.

Police took entry-exit data of the past 48 hours from the security agency. Police said they won't question the family members as the incident has left them in a trauma.
