Apropos of the report Touch and go for Modi (December 17), now that the dust and din of the Gujarat elections has settled down, a sincere appraisal of the campaigns would show that this election was the worst in content and quality. The leaders of all political parties used derogatory invectives against each other, ignoring the issues of real public importance. Instead of conducting exit polls, intellectuals and analysts should carry out appraisals of the moral code of conduct observed during elections.
