A two-minute documentary titled ‘Vote for Gurgaon’ made jointly by social groups and residents is being screened at theatres in various multiplexes. It aims to spread awareness about the importance of casting votes during the upcoming municipal elections. It has also been posted on video sharing website YouTube.
Groups such as ‘I Am Gurgaon’, Cybercity Welfare Society (a Gurgaon wing of Nasscom) and DLF City RWA with help from the MCG made the documentary.
Subinder Khurana of Cybercity Welfare Society said 75 analog prints (magnetic tapes) and 25 digital prints (CDs) were circulated at PVR and DT Cinemas, among others. The Gurgaon administration has told multiplexes to screen the documentary before the start of every movie till the MCG elections on May 15.
