Polling for the second and final phase of the Himachal Pradesh assembly elections ended Wednesday evening. The main contest is between the ruling Congress and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
More than a million voters in 65 assembly constituencies participated in the voting amid chill in the air. The polling was largely peaceful but for a solitary incident in Kangra district's Sulah constituency where the BJP candidate Vipin Parmar was beaten up by some miscreants.
The counting of votes takes place on Dec 28.
