Polytechnic entrance test results declared

RESULT OF the joint entrance examinations for the admission to the state polytechnic institutions was declared on Friday.

RESULT OF the joint entrance examinations for the admission to the state polytechnic institutions was declared on Friday.

Declaring the results, secretary of the Joint Entrance Examination Council Hariom Verma said that 15, 393 candidates were selected against 11,213 posts.

Shashank Tyagi of Moradabad topped the examination. Admission work will begin from the first week of June while the last date for seeking admission is June 26.
He also said that the entrance examination was held from April 30 to May 2. Out of 2,11,253 candidates, who submitted forms for the examination, 1,85,763 took the test. “The Council is sending call letters to all the selected candidates,” he added.

The council had received about 750 forms for 150 seats in hotel management and diploma in catering technology, he said and announced the names of the eight candidates who were on the merit list of the entrance test.

The candidates who were on the merit list were Shashank Tyagi (First). Lal Cand of Lucknow (second), Durvesh Kumar (3rd), Rajit Singh (4th), Manoj Kumar (5th), Tanweer Ahmad (6th), Chandan Singh (7th) and Manish Kumar Maurya (8th).

Verma informed that results are also available on the website . Applicants may also view their results on BSNL mobile phones.
