Pooja and Shubham to lead MP handball teams

POOJA JAIN and Shubham Ghelod will lead the MP handball girls and boys? teams that will take part in the 23rd sub junior and VIII mini boys? all-India handball championship in Chhattisgarh.

POOJA JAIN and Shubham Ghelod will lead the MP handball girls and boys’ teams that will take part in the 23rd sub junior and VIII mini boys’ all-India handball championship in Chhattisgarh.

Sub junior girls: Vaishali Mahable, Vidhi Purohit, Deepika Garg, Sadhana Patel, Nikita Arora, Bhajanvati Kumari, Nitin Kumari, Kavit Yadav, Rina Grewal, Divya Nair, Swikriti Lal, Roshni Shrm, Neetadhaman, Preeti Thakur and Omi Kumari. Chandu Mishra and Ramphal Gotaria will be the coach and manager of the team.

Mini boys: Akash Panchal, Sanjay Yadv, Rameshwar, Prasad, Rehdo Kumar, Akash Loyat, Rohit Yadav, Dinesh Kumar, Yashwardhan Singh Solanki and Rishabh Jaiswal. Ravindra Hardia and Sandeep Ghadge will be the coach and manager of the team.

Gujarati College students shine
MKHS GUJARATI Girls College won the inter-college basketball championship organised by DAVV and the higher education department. MKHS defeated Holkar Science College in the final by 64-12 points to win the Jaal Godrej Trophy.

The team comprised Varsha Marhi (captain), Khushbu Bansal, Ritu Bisht, Farhana Khan, Aarti Rathore, Kanchan Khetwani, Neha Jain, Kavita Papdiwal, Neha Sharma, Paridhi Sharma, Arpita Jain and Archana Jain. Prof Ashish Patni was the team manager.

Khalsa College win softball tourney
M B KHALSA COLLEGE won the inter-collegiate softball tournament organised by Islamia Karimia College. In the final MBKC defeated Maharaja Ranjeet Singh College. Mohan Mandhani distributed the prizes to the winners.

Inter-college cricket
DISTRICT-LEVEL inter-college cricket tournament organised by M B Khalsa College will begin October third week. Colleges interested in taking part in the tournament may contact sports officer of M B Khalsa College on or before October 12. The tournament was supposed to be held in November but due to pre-board examination, it will now be held in October.

Orange belt
INDORE DISTRICT Shuko-Kai Karate Association has awarded orange belt to eight-year-old Aishwarya Shrivatav. 

Pair bridge
THE S S Deshpande/P R Kelkar pair topped the table in the weekly pair bridge competition organised by the Indore Contract Association at Yeshwant Club. The pair secured 47 points followed by S Jhaver/D Thakkar pair with 44 points.

ILVA students excel
ILVA HIGHER Secondary School students won one gold, one silver and five bronze medals in taekwondo competition. School principal NVG Krishnamurthy and chairman Yashwanth Kaushik have congratulated the students for their brilliant performance.
