A post card holding a threat to the life of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi has been received by the Chairman of Tirupur Municipality, police said on Wednesday.
Karunanidhi's life was under threat on December six, if the recruitment age of police personnel was not increased to 29 years, the card, received last evening by Municipal Chairman K Selvaraj, said.
The date and place seal was not clear on the card sent by an anonymous person, they said.
At present, the recruitment age of police personnel is 24 years in the state.
Tirupur police registered a case and investigations are on.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports said that the card carried the name of a fundamentalist group.
