Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has been flooded with postcards from school children all telling her not to charge the school fee in bulk. The silent postcard campaign was launched last month by the students to voice their angst.

In the past month, over 1,500 postcards were sent to the chief minister. The campaign is on till April 20. Informs Dharmendra Chaturvedi, of CUTS, the NGO that helped the children with the campaign, "The postcard campaign began in the first week of March.

About 1,500 NGOs affiliated to us are monitoring the campaign in the state." Children and their parents want a ban on the payment of fee for a term in bulk. Instead they want to ensure that the report prepared by Justice PK Tiwari on the issue is implemented.

The Tiwari committee was formed by the Rajasthan High Court over the regular increase in the fee structure of all aided and non-aided schools in the state.
