Power supply to twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida was crippled following a fire which broke out at an electricity sub-station, completely gutting a 315 MVA transformer.
The repair work would take another two days and till then the cities would be supplied power through an alternate source, officials of Palli sub-station said.
The satellite cities of Delhi faced a blackout at 8.30 pm on Monday. However, the power supply to some sectors in Noida was restored late on Monday night when some lines were connected with Muradnagar.
Greater Noida was given power from Bulandshahar line. Greater Noida residents said power supply again went off in the morning. For the next three days, residents will face power cuts, officials said.
