A chargesheet filed against Malegaon blast accused Sadhvi Pragya Thakur on Tuesday says she was the brain behind the murder of RSS pracharak Sunil Joshi. According to the chargesheet submitted by the Dewas police at a local court the sadhvi plotted the December 2007 murder and galvanised the other accused to execute the plan.

The other accused in the case are Anand Raj Kataria, Harshad Solanki, Vasudev Parmar and Ramchandra Patel. They have been charged under Section 302, 120B, 201, and 34 of IPC and Sections 25 and 27 of Arms Act. Two others accused in the case, Mehul and Rakesh, from Gujarat, are absconding.

The chargesheet says Pragya decided to get Joshi killed as she was threatened by his growing influence and rising business ventures in Dewas and the fear that his visibility might lead to his arrest in the Pyar Singh Nenama murder case. She feared that if arrested he may spill beans about his involvement in the blasts. She was also furious with Joshi for 'misbehaving' with her during the Sabri Khumb in February 2006.

Pragya met Sunil Joshi in 2003, through Anandraj Kataria, in Surat. At that time Joshi was absconding from Madhya Pradesh due to his involvement in Congress leader Nenama’s murder. Their association grew over the years and they met again during the Ujjain Simhast in 2004 and again during the Sabri Khumb in February 2006 when they had the fight.

In December 2006, Joshi shifted base to Dewas and Raj alias Harshad Solanki, Mehul alias Ghanshyam, Mohan alias Ramesh and Ustad alias Jayanti, all accused in the Best Bakery case joined him.

Pragya held a meeting with the accused in her flat in Indore on December 14, 2007 and it was decided that Harshad would pull the trigger, and Anandraj would provide the gateway vehicle.
