External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Monday declared his assets and that of his wife at over Rs 2.69 crore, while filing nomination seeking re-election from the Jangipur Lok Sabha constituency in Murshidabad district.
Mukherjee in his declaration said he owned two flats, one in Munirka in New Delhi and another in Kolkata valued at Rs 58.40 lakh, besides one third share in his ancestral house in Birbhum worth Rs 2.67 lakh.
His wife, Subhra, has three flats, one in Kolkata and two in New Delhi valued at over Rs 1.15 crore.
Mukherjee owns two agricultural lands in Birbhum district worth over Rs 1.66 lakh and Rs 1.04 lakh respectively. His wife owns two houses at Labhpur in the district valued at over Rs 5.74 lakh.
In the affidavit filed before the district election officer, Mukherjee said he had cash and bank deposits to the tune of Rs 40,29,421 including fixed deposit of Rs 20,46,641.
His wife has cash and bank deposits amounting to Rs 15,22,089.
