Pre-PG 2006 test: Chothrani tops list

DILIP CHOTHRANI of Bhopal has topped the list of successful candidates in the Pre-PG-2006 test for admission to MD/MS/MDS and PG diploma medical courses in medical and dental colleges in the State. The Professional Education Board (PEB) that conducted the exams on April 16 announced the results late on Friday night.

DILIP CHOTHRANI of Bhopal has topped the list of successful candidates in the Pre-PG-2006 test for admission to MD/MS/MDS and PG diploma medical courses in medical and dental colleges in the State. The Professional Education Board (PEB) that conducted the exams on April 16 announced the results late on Friday night.

Chothrani scored 163.45 marks out of 200 to top the merit list. Aditya Kumar Dwivedi and Akhil Bansal, also of Bhopal have bagged the second and third positions in the list scoring 159.39 and 155.33 marks respectively.

A total of about 2500 candidates from across the country had appeared for the exams. There are about 250 MD/MS and diploma seats available in the State colleges and only a single seat is available for the MDS course.

The list of successful in-service candidates has been released separately by the PEB. The merit list of the in-service candidates would be released only after the marks of their rural services are added to the marks scored in the exams. There are about 62 MD/MS and PG diploma seats for the in-service candidates.

The results would be available through Airtel IVR system telephone number 16096. The results are available on website of PEB at ,  and . The admissions would be done through counselling under the directives of the Director of Medical Education and on the basis of the pre-PG results.
