President Patil arrives in Bhopal

President Pratibha Patil, who is in Madhya Pradesh for a four-day tour, has arrived in Bhopal from Indore on Sunday morning.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan received her at the Raja Bhoj Airport. MPCC Chief Suresh Pachouri was also present there.

During the day, the President will dedicate the newly constructed Administrative and Academic Block of the Bhoj Open University to the nation.

Later, she will inaugurate the People's Group Centre for Scientific and Research Development.

The President will also launch the state government's Women and Child Development Department's scheme Usha Kiran aimed at making the women independent.

Patil will leave for Gwalior on June 30 to take part in the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Madhav Institute of Technology and Sciences and will leave for New Delhi in the evening.
