Primary and middle board results announced

ATUL KUMAR Shukla of Kasturba Memorial HS School, Kasturba Nagar has topped the primary board (fifth class) exams while Jyoti Jain of Father Agnel School, Berasia topped the middle board (eighth class) exams of Bhopal district. The results of both the board exams were announced on Sunday.

ATUL KUMAR Shukla of Kasturba Memorial HS School, Kasturba Nagar has topped the primary board (fifth class) exams while Jyoti Jain of Father Agnel School, Berasia topped the middle board (eighth class) exams of Bhopal district. The results of both the board exams were announced on Sunday.

Atul Shukla scored 343 out of total 350 (98 pc) to top the list of successful candidates while Jyoti Jain scored 541 out of 600 marks (90.17 per cent). A total 21 students made it to the merit list of fifth board while ten students made it to the middle board merit list.

The results were formally announced at a small function organised at the Navin Girls Higher Secondary School. District collector Sanjay Shukla, district education officer Dr O P Sharma and officer of the District Education Centre M I Khan were present on the occasion. A total of 40,163 students participated in the primary board exams of which 28871 passed taking the pass percentage to 71.88.

A total 7,298 were found eligible  for supplementary exams. In the eighth board exam a total of 32,373 participated of which 17,737 passed and 8,609 were found eligible for supplementary exams. The pass percentage was 57.25.
Girls scored over boys in both the exams. In fifth board girls recorded pass percentage of 72.94 and girls recorded 70.92 per cent while in middle board 57.25 of girls passed over 52.70 per cent boys.

Other students who made to the merit list of fifth board include (figures in bracket are marks scored): Second – Anamika Vishwakarma  (335), third - Karishma Shrivastava, Aditi Soni, Yash Sharma (333), fourth - Neeraj Nakhre (328), fifth - Atira Unni (326), sixth - Harishita Shrivastava, Zareen Afridi (325), seventh - Ayushi Awasthi, Ajay Mishra (324), eighth -

Arti Dhawle, Ekta Raikwar Needhi Thakur (323), ninth - Shweta Thapa, Sanjay Raghuvanshi, Shahrukh Khan, Akash Kumar Choudhary, Priya Jain (322), tenth - Sushmita Mandal, Anmol Badlani (321).

The toppers of middle board include: second - Farah Khan (527), third - Disha Agrawal (525), fourth - Divya Khole (522), fifth - Aishwarya Gupta (519), sixth - Kulsum Jahan (518), seventh - Sonal Fulre (517), eighth - Neha Kanathe (515), ninth - Meenakshi Gupta (514), tenth -Shilpa Madhwani (512).

The results would be given to the Cluster principles by 1 pm on Monday and they are expected to distribute it to the schools in their jurisdiction on the same day. The district administration would also put the result on its officials website, Shukla said.
