DREADED GANGSTER Ahmed alias Prince, who was trapped by the STF sleuths on Tuesday, had been engaged in executing contract killings at the behest of jailed don-turned MLA, Mukhtar Ansari for the past six years.
Interrogation of Prince by the STF laid bare to startling revelation about Ansari’s involvement in several sensational killings in Haryana, Punjab and New Delhi. The don used to rope in Prince whenever his (Mukhtar’s) friends in other states asked for a contract killer. To avoid police attention, Mukhtar never used services of Prince in Uttar Pradesh.
Prince, who was also running an auto-lifting gang, used to supply luxury vehicles to the don stolen from other states.
While revealing details about Prince, ASP, STF Rajesh Pandey said that the gangster had come close to Ansari as his brother Salim was employed as a driver with the don. Since, Ansari was impressed with the modus operandi of Prince while executing contract killing, the don included him in his bandwagon, Pandey said.
Pandey said before accepting contract for a killing, Prince used to steal a luxury vehicle. Prince always used to take two of his accomplices—-Dabloo Kubda and Radhey for the operation. Prince confessed to have eliminated six persons so far.
In the course of interrogation, he also revealed that before he got the ‘blessings’ of Ansari, he used to avoid visiting his native place at Yusufpur in Ghazipur district. Soon after he procured the status of don’s confidante, the police always ignored his movement in the district. Significantly, about two-dozen stolen four-wheelers recovered from Prince were still parked at the Mohammadabad police station. Prince further revealed that he had offered his services for the sensational shootout in the Bhanwarkol area of Ghazipur claiming eight lives including BJP MLA Krishnanand Rai. Ansari is facing charges of those killings and the CBI was probing the case. However, the don had refused to send him in the operation, Prince revealed.
Ansari had sent Prince and latter’s aides for some sensational attack on political heavyweights in Haryana and Punjab. Though Prince did not reveal the names of those targets and Ansari’s friends, who had sought the services there, he claimed to have received Rs 5 lakh each in two operations in 2005. The STF sleuths will contact their counterparts in Haryana and Punjab for the details about the incidents of attacks on politicians in 2005.
