A school teacher allegedly molested a Class VII student and sent a lewd MMS to her, triggering protests by her parents and Shiv Sena activists who roughed up the school principal and blackened his face at central suburb Bhandup on Friday.
Avinash Salve, a teacher in Indian Education Society's King George school, Bhandup, allegedly molested the Class VII girl, studying in Marathi medium and also sent a lewd MMS to her following which angry parents and Sena activists gathered at the school this morning, they said.
It is not clear when the alleged molestation took place. Since Avinash did not come to school, the crowd assaulted principal Pandharinath Salve and blackened his face, police said.
Two complaints will be filed, one against Avinash Salve for alleged molestation and other against parents and Sena activists for assaulting the principal, they added.
