Some time ago, Instagram was at the centre of a major controversy when they suddenly announced a new policy according to which the photo-sharing app could sell photos uploaded to advertisers. This move did not go down well with netizens. In fact, several members, including celebs, preferred to delete their accounts than have them sold without their consent.
Users can read Instagram’s blog post that highlights some of the key updates. However, to ensure that there is no hysteria this time, the email goes on to say, “And remember, these updates don't change the fact that you own the photos that you post on Instagram, and our privacy controls work just as they did before.”
