Amid reports of supply of arms by police to Maoists, one rifle has gone missing from armoury in a police station here prompting SSP to order an inquiry.

Amid reports of supply of arms by police to Maoists, one rifle has gone missing from armoury in a police station here prompting SSP to order an inquiry today.

Following report of one rifle going missing from Indira Puram Police Station here, SSP Raghubir Lal ordered an inquiry into the matter, police sources said.

He has directed the investigating officer to submit report to him in three days.

In the wake of reports of supply of arms by police to Maoists in U.P., Ghaziabad District Magistrate R Ramesh Kumar has already ordered all Sub Divisional magistrates (SDM) to do physical count of arms in Police Stations and Police Line. The process is on.
