A GROUP of professionals has come together under the banner of Chic Sense with an objective of imparting tips on personality development to youngsters, particularly students with a view to preparing them to rise to any occasion in life. The first of such programme is presently being conducted for the students of Campion School.
The basic objectives of the course – designed for a duration of three to four weekends – are enjoying good health and spirit, improving concentration and focus, knowing priorities and values, learning how to deal with crisis, having good manners and etiquettes and acquiring appropriate dress sense.
The course commenced at Campion School on October 28. Sessions were conducted on October 29, November 4 and 5 and the final two sessions would be conducted on November 11 and 12.
The sessions are conducted by Ritu Nanda, who will counsel the children on how to remain stress-free and utilise their intrinsic talent to the maximum; Amita Singh, who will tell them about the effect of balanced diet and nutrition on growth and development; Dr Arvind Rastogi will teach them basics of first-aid and methods of dealing with casualty, Parikshit Sharma will give practical lesson in table arrangement, dining etiquette, Purabi Guha will impart lessons in communication skills and important life values while Sulabha Dixit shall teach them the basics of appropriate dressing, correct posture and Yogic techniques for good health of body and mind.
School Principal Father M Kerketta will distribute certificates to participating students on the concluding day – November 12.
