Programmes mark Ram Navmi

VARIOUS PROGRAMMES were held at different places and processions were carried out in the City to mark Ram Navmi today. A religious procession awas taken out from SP Office.

VARIOUS PROGRAMMES were held at different places and processions were carried out in the City to mark Ram Navmi today. A religious procession awas taken out from SP Office.

Indore SP Adarsh Katiyar mounted the statues amidst reciting of bhajans and aarti in the temple in SP Office compound.

A worship and aarti programme was organised at Sai Mandir in Nandanagar. The devotees celebrated the birth anniversary of Lord Ram at 12.00 noon in various temples.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised Ram Navami programme at Rajwada. Parishad activists invited the passersby to worship God and distributed prasad. MLA Ashwin Joshi organised aarti at Rajwada and the Malhari Martand flag was also changed.

Around 1008 women participated in a Shobha Yatra that took off from Ram Bagichi in the city. All the women were dressed in yellow outfits. They sang bhajans and carried decorated ‘Kalash’ on their heads. Later the water in ‘Kalash’ was used to conduct ‘Abhishek’ of Lord Ram at Panchkuinya temple. A mahaarti was held in the temple.

The Ram Navami fervour was also seen at the 125-year-old Venkatesh Devsthan Chhatribagh. Swami Vishnu Prappancharya conducted the ‘Ved Path’ and worship programmes in the temple. Ram Bhakt Hanuman Mandal organised a ‘Path’ of Sunderkand at the temple.

Shri Kendriya Sai Sewa Samiti organised a grand ‘Sai Palki Yatra’ to celebrate Ram Navami from Bada Ganpati to Chhatribagh Indore. Director of TV serial Sai Baba, Subhash Sagar and actor Mukul Naag (playing the role of Sai Baba) participated in the Yatra.
