Yet another brawl took place at Sahara Mall on the MG Road on Wednesday night, when a pub manager and two bouncers assaulted the mall’s security supervisor over a trivial issue.
According to police, Kamlesh Dwivedi, 42, was beaten up by Amit Tyagi, the manager of pub Last Chance, and two bouncers.
The brawl triggered w ith an argument after the victim, who was supervising a repair work at the third floor of the mall, asked them to mind their steps.
According to the bar owner, the altercation began after the supervisor misbehaved with the pub manager and bouncers.
Dwivedi, a resident of Uttar Pradesh who has been working with SLV Securities in Sahara Mall, was has been undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital.
“The pub manager and bouncers were passing through the site where some repair works were on. When I asked them to move aside as the scrap could fall on them, they started abusing me. The manager started pushing me and bouncer joined him and punched me” Dwivedi told Hindustan Times on Thursday.
The police have booked the three accused and asked for the CCTV footage of the mall.
“We are waiting for the CCTV footage which would be given to us tomorrow. The three accused would be arrested soon,” said SHO Jagdish Prasad.
During the New Year celebrations, a woman was molested by a group of revelers who were denied entry to a pub. In August last year, villagers forced a pub to shut after a fight between the bouncers and some local youth.
