Having earned a bad name for being a place of brawls and nuisance, the pubs, bars and discotheques in Gurgaon are in the middle of a damage-control exercise.

Some of the bars in Gurgaon has started pasting the Certified Security Agency Certificate at the entry gates to win the confidence of visitors.

On the other hand, the police continued to raid malls and arrested seven more revelers for creating nuisance on the third day in sequence. Police have so far booked 28 persons for creating nuisance outside the malls on MG road.

All these developments followed the recent incident of abduction and gangrape of a pub workers from outside the mall on MG Road recently.

Golz a known DJ and co-owner of Guvment a discotheque in Hotel Bristol on MG Road said that on Thursday the license certificate issued to the private security agency QRT was pasted on the entry gates of their place.

He added, “This was done to inform our guests that we hire trained and well behaved bouncers properly dressed from the licensed security agency. This will boost the confidence of the revellers that the place they visit is properly guarded and secure.”

The step came after Gurgaon police banned deployment of the bouncers as well as entry of the individuals inside the pubs and bars as it believed that majority of the bouncers were ill-trained to critical tackle situations and rather themselves indulged with the brawls.

On the other hand the police continued to petrol the Mall-mile MG Road during evening hours and arrested those drinking and creating nuisance on this stretch.
