Punjab sets up online system for power complaints

The Punjab government in a bid to reduce the problem of the electricity consumers has set up an Inter-Active Voice Response System (IVRS). This is a dedicated helpline wherein a consumer could register his complaint by dialing specified telephone numbers.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) said that the numbers allotted for this IVRS are, code 0172-2218095 and 2218096. He said that IVRS system has been installed at Patiala; if any electricity consumer in Punjab has a complaint unattended for more than 24 hours regarding power supply then he could register his complaint on this IVRS system.

The spokesman further said that after dialing any of the number specified for IVRS, the system would welcome you through pre recorded message and allot you serial number at which your complaint would be registered. He said that in case your complaint remains unattended for seven days then complainant could contact Chief administration & IR could be contacted at PSPCL’s Head office, Patiala on telephone no. 0172-2216424 or personally.

The spokesman added that besides IVRS system Online Grievances Redressal Management System (GRMS) has also activated. He said that the consumers could also register their complaints online over this GRMS system. He said that this GRMS system could be accessed on PSPCL website www.pspcl.in.
