The Haryana School Education Department has directed all private schools to furnish all information about minimum facilities to be provided, fee to be charged and their movable and immovable properties by August 31 online.
As per the new guidelines, the private schools need to provide information under forms IV, VI and VII of the Haryana School Education Rules, 2003. The forms have been uploaded on the departmental website www.schooleducationharyana.gov.in.
Each school is required to make its own separate account on the website and immediately enter the information.
The private schools association has ridiculed the new directions issued by the education department, saying all information regarding facilities and fee structure was being already furnished to department.
"Barring movable and immovable properties, all the private schools have been filling Form VI, which is an extensive format since last session in 2010 and been providing this information. Even the balancesheet of the schools are furnished. However, it would be difficult for the schools to upload information about the immovable and moveable properties separately," said.
Colonel (retd) Partap Singh, the president of Gurgaon chapter of Haryana Progressive Schools Conference (HPSC). Singh said the organisation setting up new private primary schools also furnished Form I.
A spokesman of the department said that all the school authorities are bound to supply the information as required by the department from time to time under Rule 30 of Haryana School Education Rules, 2003. Under the Rules, the schools have to furnish reports and information as required by the Director School Education from time to time.
"They have to comply with such instructions of the appropriate authority to ensure continued fulfillment of the condition of the recognition or the removal of the deficiencies in the working of the school. They have also been directed to fill form for the annual inspection," he added.
