Actress Rachel McAdams has laughed off rumours that she is set to star in the fourth instalment of the Spider-Man franchise. Reports sparked speculation that McAdams, who starred in "The Notebook", was in line to tackle the feline role, but she has shot down the gossip, reports hollywoodinsider.ew.com.
"That's a total rumour, I have to say. I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, ?I just heard you're doing 'Spider-Man 4'.? And I said, ?Really? No one told me!' It's not true," she said.
Starring Tobey Maguire in the lead, the fourth instalment is due for release in 2011.
Born on November 17, 1978 Rachel McAdams is a Canadian actress. Her films include The Hot Chick, Mean Girls, The Notebook, Wedding Crashers, The Family Stone, Red Eye and The Time Traveler's Wife.
McAdams dated actor Ryan Gosling, whom she had met during the making of The Notebook, but the couple broke up in February 2007. McAdams and Gosling were later seen embracing each other at a restaurant near her Toronto home. In December 2008, it was reported that they remain friends. McAdams dated actor Josh Lucas for four months in 2009.
