RAHUL BHAKSHI will lead the Madhya Pradesh under-22 team that will take part in the C K Nayudu Trophy. The team for the first two matches has been announced.
Announcing the team, MPCA secretary Sanjay Jagdale said that only three Ranji players could be included in the squad hence they had included Rahul Bhakshi, Sachin Dholpure and medium pacer Anand Rajan.
After seeing their performances, the team will be announced for other matches. They will play against UP, Vidarbha, Rajsthan and Railways.
The team: Rahul Bhakshi (captain), Sachin Dholpure, Shan-e-Alam, Murtaza Ali, Javed Akthar, Varun Singh, Shadab Khan, Jyotiraditya Singh, Anand Rajan, Abhishek Gupta, Amit Sharma, Ashutosh Jadhav, Ambalal Patidar, Amal Kokje and Mudit Shrivastava.
CIA boys, SICA girls win kho-kho titles
CENTRAL INDIA Academy boys won the CBSE Cluster XI kho-kho tournament held recently. Central India Academy defeated South Indian Cultural Association Senior Secondary School (SICA) in the final to win the title.The girl’s title was won by SICA School.
SICA girls beat Dr Radhakrishnan Higher Secondary, Bhopal in the final.
Sangam Dubey of Central India Academy and Priyanka Iyer of SICA School won the ‘best player’ of the tournament titles in boys and girls’ categories. Member of Parliament Thavarchand Ghelot distributed the prizes to winners.
CBSE Sports Officer Pushkar Vohra presided over the function.
Academy principal S Parimala welcomed the guest, while Paramjeet Kaur proposed vote of thanks.
