Delhi Police has sent to Central Forensic and Sciences Laboratory (CFSL) six more samples of items taken from the Safdarjung residence of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan including gastric lavage of his son Rahul Mahajan and two bottles of champagne consumed at a party there on the night of June 1.
The fresh batch of the samples were received by CFSL on Wednesday night, official sources said, adding the examination would be completed in a few days.
Besides gastric lavage and champagne, the other samples handed over on Wednesday by the Delhi Police included half-filled water bottles, empty glasses and tinned dry fruits box.
These samples were lifted from the residence of Mahajan by Delhi police under the supervision of CFSL.
These samples are in addition to the five samples handed over by Delhi Police to CFSL on June three which included a one inch by one-and-a-half inch Red pouch, two stained cloth pieces of Rahul Mahajan and Pramod Mahajan's late secretary Vivek Moitra and stomach wash of the duo that was collected from Apollo Hospital and AIIMS.
A spokesman for CFSL said the Laboratory had handed over the results of the pouch containing powder that was given to CBI on June three by the Delhi Police after Rahul Mahajan had been admitted to the Apollo hospital.
The spokesman said the powder was heroin and the same had been conveyed to the Delhi Police.
