Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, who is on one day visit city on Friday, will attend the party programme at Gujarat College ground, pay tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Ashram and Sardar Patel and Patel Memorial and meet the representatives of NGOs and business lunch.
"Rahulji will land here around 2pm and then will meet around 100 people over lunch at the circuit house annexe," said state Congress spokesperson Arjun Modhvadia.
According to sources, some young entrepreneures have been invited from the business and industry sector while a number representatives from NGO have also been invited for interaction with the scion of Nehru-Gandhi family.
After the lunch, he would go to Gandhi Ashram to pay tribute to Mahatma. Incidentally, tomorrow is 30 January, death anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Subsequently, he would to attend the main programme organised by the state Congress.
At Gujarat college ground, he will administer a pledge to over 10000 youngsters for fight against terrorism.
"Apart from pledge taking, he will also felicitate 10 youngsters for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields," said Modhvadia.
After the programme, he will go to the Congress office where he will meet youth Congress and NSUI leaders and discuss about the election for the youth Congress office bearers in the state.
