Youth Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to visit Gurgaon on Thursday to interact with panchayat members.
After receiving information about the unplanned trip, the Haryana Pradesh Youth Congress began ground preparations for the interaction.
Rao Chiranjiv, president of the Haryana Pradesh Youth Congress, said he was on a canvassing tour to Kerala when he received intimation regarding the April 21 visit.
“Rahul Gandhi will hold an interactive session with the 13,000-odd panchayat members of the Youth Congress in Haryana. We expect a low turnout as the ongoing harvest season will keep most busy. In Gurgaon constituency, we have about 1,100 panchayat members. All members are below the age of 35 years,” said Rao Chiranjiv.
Gandhi is expected to talk about subjects such as the changing scenario in panchayat politics.
