A Delhi court on Friday adjourned the hearing on the application of Rahul Mahajan, son of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, accused in a drug abuse case, for permission to travel abroad for honeymoon after his wedding on August 29.
Additional Sessions Judge SN Gupta deferred the hearing on the application for August 17, demanding from the prosecution the evidence of the proposed wedding and presence of Rahul in the court.
The plea moved before Additional Sessions Judge SN Gupta hearing the case, prays for the permission of the court to travel to Seychelles from August 30 to September 11 and for return of his passport.
Rahul's marriage is scheduled to take place on August 29.
Sahil and Rahul, along with late Pramod Mahajan's key aide Vivek Moitra, had allegedly consumed an unspecified quantity of contraband on June 1 at 7, Safdarjung Road, which, it is suspected, was supplied by three Nigerians who are currently in judicial custody.
While Moitra was brought dead to Apollo Hospital, Rahul and Sahil had to be medically treated for their health condition. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was subsequently registered at the Tughlak Road Police Station.
