In the run-up to the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Amethi Lok Sabha MP Rahul Gandhi will be on a four-day tour of his constituency from Monday and is expected to meet prospective candidates for the coming polls.
Rahul was also scheduled to preside over a meeting in the district headquarters of Sultanpur to review the work done by the district development committee, his constituency representative KL Sharma said on Sunday.
"This will be for the first time that the Amethi Lok Sabha MP will be chairing the meeting," he said.
He said it was also likely that Rahul would be meeting prospective candidates from the constituency for the coming Assembly polls.
Besides, he would be holding meetings with party office bearers, gram pradhans, block and panchayat-level workers during his stay, Sharma said.
Rahul's visit is seen by political observers here as the launch of the Congress poll campaign.
