Reacting to his cousin Varun Gandhi's alleged hate speeches, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Friday said he would not allow hatred and anger to prevail over himself.
Rahul expressed annoyance when asked how he felt about his cousin Varun being in jail for making allegedly inflammatory speeches.
Rahul was asked the question by newsmen when he came down from the dais after addressing an election rally here in support of Congress candidate for Arunachal Eest seat Ninong Ering.
"I have already made my comment and I have nothing to add" a visibly annoyed Rahul said and went forwrd to shake hands with common people who came to listen him.
Rahul brushed aside attempts to draw him into making statements on his cousin's speeches but said he would not allow "hatred and anger" to prevail over him.
