THE STUDENTS of Rai Foundation, the erstwhile Rai University, today held a demonstration at their college premises. THE STUDENTS of Rai Foundation, the erstwhile Rai University, today held a demonstration at their college premises. They demanded that the state government should immediately issue a no-objection certificate so that their institution could be affiliated to the local university as per Supreme Court directive. If this was not done, their academic career would be jeopardized.

In case the affiliation is not possible, students should be transferred/migrated to some other university without their losing a year. The students have demanded that action should be taken in this regard within a month.

The students have also demanded that as per the Supreme Court directive, all the study centres of  private universities in Chhattisgarh also need affiliation to local universities like Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya to safeguard the students’ interests.

Although all relevant documents have been submitted to the AICTE, the no-objection certificate of MP Government has not arrived as yet.

Due to the government’s apathetic attitude, the future of students has become uncertain ever since Rai University and some other private universities in Chhattisgarh had been  declared dysfunctional.
