Mumbai police is conducting raids at seven locations across the country in search of "specific members" of the terror group Indian Mujahideen (IM), police said on Friday.

"Seven teams of the Mumbai Crime Branch are conducting searches in seven locations, including Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh, Mangalore, and certain places in Maharashtra," Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria said.

Maria said the raids are being conducted to search for certain people, whose names were revealed by the five alleged IM members arrested two weeks back by the crime branch.

They are suspected to be involved in the recent Delhi, Ahmedabad and other blasts in several cities across the country since 2005.

"We are very very close on cracking the case and arresting several other masterminds and founder members of the Indian Mujahideen," Maria said.

According to sources, one of the person police is on a lookout for is Abu Rashid, who is suspected to have provided the logistics, finance and explosives for the blasts.
