Raids on to nab accused in Gagandeep murder case

Police on Monday conducted raids in the city and nearby areas to nab the persons who shot dead cricketer Gagandeep Singh outside a 'kebab' shop in Meerut three days ago.

A senior police officer said they have conducted raids to hunt for the two accused who shot dead Singh and his friend Shahnawaz over a row.

So far one person, Rahul, has been arrested and police have claimed to have recovered the weapon used in the crime, a .32 bore revolver, from him.
Singh represented India in an under-19 series in Australia. He had come to the city to play in the GK Naidu tournament.
