RPF and Vigilance Wing of the South Central Railway (SCR) on Wednesday nabbed three touts on the charge of misusing letterheads of elected representatives for procuring railway tickets under Emergency Quota (EQ), officials said.

Acting on a tip-off, the Vigilance and Railway Protection Force sleuths conducted a raid at the railway booking office on the premises of Andhra Pradesh state Assembly here, and apprehended Sayeed Wali, Rama Krishna and Giri.

"They were found in possession of letterheads of various MPs and MLAs, which they were using for getting railway reservations under the EQ system for clients, after charging premium of Rs 200- Rs 400," said Vigilance officer Anju Kumar.

The sleuths also recovered tickets worth Rs 40,000, besides Rs 24,000 cash.
