Heavy rains lashed the metropolis this evening, while light showers continued throughout the day. Flight services were affected due to cloudy weather and poor visibility.
"There was an average delay of 10 minutes in flights arriving in the city and about 30 minutes in departures," a spokesperson of the Mumbai International Airport Ltd (MIAL) said.
Rail services on Western, Central and harbour lines were delayed by 5 to 10 minutes, railway officials said.
Civic officials said no major incidents of waterlogging were reported today.
Colaba (in city) recorded 8.8 mm rainfall, while Santacruz (in suburbs) recorded 0.4 mm from 0830 hours to 1730 hours, Met officials said.
The Met officials have forecast spells of rain or thundershowers in parts of the city and suburbs for the next 24 hours.
