A 28-year-old school teacher was allegedly gang-raped by four persons in the institution's premises at Rainn village in Bundi district on Friday.
However, no one has been arrested so far as police are trying to ascertain the woman's allegations, Bundi superintendent of police Pankaj Chaudhary said on Saturday.
A case under section 376 of the IPC has been registered and the victim's vaginal swab has been sent for forensic tests, he added.
The four accused were identified as Dayaram Meena, Babulal Meena, Chhotulal Meena and Hari Singh Meena.
Rainn village is 15 km from Bundi and around 225 km from capital Jaipur.
This is the third case of sexual assault in educational institutions in Rajasthan in the past couple of months.
In March, students of a private women's educational institute in Sriganganagar had accused the physical instructor of sexual harassment, forcing the district administration to form a two-member probe panel. The panel's findings have been submitted to the administration though no action has been taken so far.
Earlier in February, the 'mess contractor' – the person who operates the canteen -- of the Regional Institute of Education in Ajmer was suspended for sexually assaulting a second-year BSc student.
The Bundi SP also said the case was being investigated by deputy superintendent of police of Hindoli Kishori Lal.
"We questioned the accused in morning and will again question them again. We want to verify the allegations before proceeding with the arrests," said Kishori Lal.
In her complaint, the teacher claimed that she was gang-raped on Friday morning when she was engaged in official work in the school. It was a holiday in the school and hence no student was present. The other female teacher is on maternity leave.
The victim also told the police that the accused threatened her with acid attack if she dared to inform anyone about the incident.
Several teachers' organisations in the area have condemned the incident and demanded safety and security of women.
