Vijay Bhardwaj, the alleged killer of Delhi crime branch Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajbir Sigh, will have to undergo a narco-analysis test. He will also be subjected tonarco-analysis test. and brain-mapping tests, police said.
The Gurgaon police have initiated the process of getting the test conducted at the Directorate of Forensic Sciences (DFS).Joint commissioner of police Gurgaon, Manjit Singh Ahalawat, said on Wednesday that though Vijay had admitted to killing Singh, the police wanted to be doubly sure.“Though we have been maintaining since the beginning that it was Vijay Bhardwaj who killed ACP Rajbir Singh and our intense investigation substantiated his claim based on the available evidences and circumstances, we have decided to get the narco-analysis test to endorse our investigation,” Ahalawat said.
The JCP said that his department was busy completing related formalities for the tests. “The formalities could take some time,” he added.
Vijay, who was in police custody for five days after he was arrested, is now lodged in Bhondsi Jail.Having collected the call details of Vijay, the Gurgaon Police are also working on the call details of two mobile phones carried by ACP Rajbir.
Ahalawat said: “He carried one official and personal phone. We are investigating the call details.
